Blog entry # 5.5 - Issue Research

2. What social issue have you been assigned? I was assigned Girls in sports


3. In order to develop an effective PSA you must feel a personal connection to the social issue that you are addressing. What does this social issue mean to you?
This social issue will be about how women are treated in sports because of their gender. Women are not treated correctly because they are thought of as being weak and not being able to do what men can do.

4. What group(s) is/are affected by your assigned social issue? Teenagers and adults are affected by this social issue



5. What potential negative impact can this issue have? Inequality and incorrect treatment of females can occur



6. What research (statistics) can you use to support your argument that this is a social issue that needs to be addressed? I can use statistics of the number of women in sports compared to men.

This organization is connected to my social issue because the National Association for Girls and Women is trying to educate women about sports and the promotion of women in sports.
